Security Guard Permits are processed ONLY on Mondays or Thursdays at the Firearm Permit Unit in Jackson between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Mail-in
Completed security guard packets MAY NOT be mailed to the Firearm Permit Unit. All applications and renewals must be made in person at the Firearms Permit Unit office at the Department of Public Safety Headquarters in Jackson or at a local Highway Patrol substation.
