This unit is responsible for all crash records reported by state, local and municipal agencies throughout Mississippi and for ensuring that drivers who have been involved in a crash in this state are in compliance with financial requirements . These records are entered in the driver record data system for statistical purposes as well as updated in the motor vehicle records. This office also suspends driver licenses, collects reinstatement fees and sells crash records to those individuals involved in the accident.
The fee for a crash report is $15.00. You may obtain a report through your local Highway Patrol office . If you prefer you can go online at www.reportbeam.com and select public access. The online cost is $15.00 plus $5.00 handling charge.
