In August of 1999, the Mississippi Crime Stoppers Advisory Council partnered with the Mississippi Department of Education to establish “Connections”, the first state wide crime stoppers program, in all school districts in the state. This hotline works just like the adult crime stoppers program, accepting information on school safety issues and giving that information to the appropriate state agency for investigation.
