Further the Crime Stoppers Division is responsible for various grant opportunities for the local Crime Stoppers programs and to manage quarterly reporting and withdrawals of local programs of all surcharge funding that is collected to fund each and every local Crime Stoppers program in the State of Mississippi.
The Crime Stoppers Division is in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education on establishing a program call the “Campus Crime Stoppers Clubs”. Along with these clubs, the Crime Stoppers Division and the Mississippi Department of Education have established a toll free number that is posted in schools to give students that avenue to call to relay that information, all anonymously.
The Crime Stoppers Division also hosts an informative training conference every year during National Crime Stoppers month in January. These conferences are open to all law enforcement officers, as they receive continuing educations hours, all local crime stopper board members and school safety officers and administration.
